The tallest building in the city.

A small debate has been going around on whether to increase the build limit of skyscrapers in the city. currently all skyscrapers are under the rule that they cannot exceed y=145, the height of the pinnacle tower which is the tallest building the city. many skyscrapers have already pushed that limit, going as close as y=140, which exceeds the main building of the pinnacle tower, but stays below its pinnacle.

However, a new building has been built on the Bayfront skyline that exceeds that limit, at y=160, the Isis tower is now the new tallest building of the city. It will also raise the height limit of all new skyscrapers to y=160.

Also,  several small updates on other parts of the city:

parking problem downtown is being solved. two underground parking spaces have been built, under skyscrapers and a three story parking garage has been built along the highway.

the police headquarters of the city has been built (pictures in future post). you can also expect more infrastructure such as fire stations, clinics, hospitals and police posts to appear around the city.

location of a new downtown subway station has been confirmed.

a new high school has been built in the waterfront district. it comes with an indoor sports hall, football field and jogging track. (pictures in future post)

Houses!

The residential zone/suburbs, as mentioned before is getting revamped. houses are going to be larger and more realistic. So this post is going to show how we are going about building these houses.
(only screenshots this time. it will be very tedious to render every step)

First, the layout plan of the house is built, to give the general shape and size of the house. it also lets you see the rooms and decide what purpose each room serves

walls are then built up and the position of the windows are decided

just brought the pavement around to create a front yard and added a driveway to the garage.

 second floor is built.

layout of rooms on the second floor. this house will have 1 master bedroom, 2 guest rooms and a study.

getting ready for the roof. a ladder to the attic will be put in when furnishing.

roof is completed!

some minor landscaping and vegetation is added around the house. windows and garage door are filled in.

and theres the final result. most of the houses planned for this district will be built in this style and manner, so expect a full neighborhood in a few weeks time!
